my music business teacher is the go-betweens’ drummer. last week she brought in one of her old cds, and one of the rapper/dj guys in my class looked at the sleeve and was like “…is that you miss?” and lindy sort of growled because she HATES being called miss, and then he was like “you were totally hot! LOOKIN’ GOOD *raises eyebrow*” at which point lindy’s eye twitched and she said “well, thank you daniel, i suppose!”, and then attempted to get the discussion back onto a copyright case they were involved in.

You’ve got Lindy as a teacher too? No WAI. She is one of the most interesting people in the world. Tell her Chris Foster says hi, though I am not entirely sure she would still remember me.

oh man i know right? there is so much animosity towards her from my class because she actually tells them  when they’re being rude, which hardly any of our other teachers do, but that is kind of my favourite thing about her, that she basically serves them HOT STEAMING CUPS OF SHUT THE FUCK UP.

I remember my first ever class with her:

PUNK ROCK KID: “Did you get on the drugs?”

LINDY: “I was in a fucking rock band.”

PUNK ROCK KID: “Did you get on the women?”

LINDY: “I was in a FUCKING ROCK BAND!”

Pure awesome. Went to see Steve Kilbey live at Oxford Arts last year. Sat there with her and Amanda Brown whilst they drank wine and spoke over the top of the bands. Not that Lindy was doing it intentionally, just that she is completely incapable of subtlety.
